Drop of Dharma
The outside world is telling us the truth and we refuse to believe it, while thoughts are telling us lies and we refuse to ignore them. ~ Jim Giorgi

"Here then is a definitive statement of the art of Nihon Goshin Aikido coming directly from one of its most knowledgeable practitioners. I know that it will be an essential resource not only for students of NGA but also for martial artists of any style anywhere in the world."

"Living an integral life means “getting it together” and being “together” rather than being and feeling fragmented. It means thinking, feeling and acting always out of the certainty of your wholeness and never acting out of a sense of disconnection or lack."

Dharma Talks

In the tradition of the Buddha's teaching:

In the virtual world of Second Life (free membership) as DoKwang Augenblick I give Dharma Talks once or twice a week at the Buddha Center to an international community, taking questions and encouraging discussion.  Using notes from those talks I have written an expanded version of each talk to share with my readers.  (these are read-only ©2010 Jim Giorgi)

May 5 Dharma Talk EFT Emotional Freedom Technique (pdf)

"...you know how you can learn how to relax so just by practicing this exercise or any meditative exercise you can learn. so as to be relaxed and still be fully awake, be fully alert and be fully functional. You can realize the kind of action that the Taoist masters talk about when they use the phrase Wu Wei, which literally means not-doing. And that not-doing does not mean you're sitting around, not doing anything, it means that you are doing, acting without effort. You are functioning effortlessly, but effectively in whatever it is; that your full attention is on the task at this moment. There is a unity between you and what you are doing. There is no doer, there is no deed. There is just the doing. It's just a question of practice and reminding yourself."

May 17 Dharma Talk:  "What's the Payoff For Enlightenment?" "Shadow Issues" "Emotional Aikido" (pdf)

 Emotional Aikido

"The point is, look at this reaction that's coming from this person with love. As a loving response. No matter how it may sound, how rough and abrasive it may be on the outside, that is coming from the love heart. And appreciate it as such. And if you do that, if you don't set up barriers or set up defenses against what you think is going to be coming, then you can practice, what I'd like to call, 'Emotional Aikido.'"

May 31 Dharma Talk: Manifestation (pdf)

"Because most of the time for most people when they are awake their belief system dictates that they need to be tense, concentrated. effortful, on their guard.. You know how we're taught a very young age it's a jungle out there. So we prepare ourselves by putting on our armor.  We go out there expecting to be attacked..

"That is the source of most of the suffering, the maladies, the types of psychosomatic illnesses  and conditions that people develop.  And they don’t realize that they can be as was said,  peacefully awake."
